The chimney installation is finally started. With Fall around the corner, it’ll be needed before we know it.
I spent the day reading, and re-reading the instructions on installing the chimney pipe.
We did decide to vent the stove out the back of the stove instead of the top, and while I didn’t have the time to do the full installation, I did have time to start putting some pieces together and getting prepared for the chimney install for the weekend (if the weather holds out)
So far, it’s pretty easy.
I leveled to stove, then put the stove gasket cement on the pipe and the flange and level it off and left it to dry
I also put the roof vent on the second section of double walled insulated pipe.
Making sure I have everything I need to finish the job once I cut a whole in the roof. At that point I’m committed and it wont be easy to get something if I don’t already have it on hand.
